British Columbia is the western most province of Canada. In 1871, British Columbia became the sixth province of Canada. The province's name was chosen by Queen Victoria in 1858, reflecting its origins as the British remainder of the Columbia District of the Hudson's Bay Company. Its Latin motto is Splendor sine occasu.
The province of British Columbia is unique in Canada because, in addition to the 160 municipal governments, it is comprised of 27 regional districts. Thus, I have compiled my photography into folders based on geographical regional district areas.
