The Fraser Valley Regional District (FVRD) is a regional district in the province of British Columbia, Canada. On December 12th, 1995 the Regional District of the North Okanagan was incorporated. The FVRD area is located E of the Greater Vancouver Regional District [Metro Vancouver Regional District] to the Squamish-Lillooet Regional District.

Named about 1808 by officers of the North West Company, after Simon Fraser (1776-1862), superintendent of the district of New Caledonia, who had explored the river that year.
