Kelowna; Mission Creek Greenway Regional Park, Layer Cake Mountain

The Mission Creek Greenway Regional Park, British Columbia is over 17km in length and travels through two distinctively different environments.

"The trail [Mission Creek Greenway Regional Park, Layer Cake Mountain] enters the Mission Creek canyon just beyond the East Kelowna Road bridge. The canyon is a wilderness area with unique geological features. The total trail length (Phase 1 and Phase 2) is 16.5 kilometres.

With the loss of so many area trails as a result of the 2003 Okanagan Mountain Park fire, the Phase 2 trail resulted in the opening of a new wilderness trail in the Spring of 2005.

Many spectacular geological features exist on the Phase 2 trail, including Layer Cake Mountain, Pinnacle Rock, and Hoodoos."

"Photography is more than a hobby for me. It's a constant companion, a passion in a world I can't touch. It gives me solace." ~Dan Case
