The Regional District of Kootenay Boundary (RDKB) is a regional district in the province of British Columbia, Canada. On February 22nd, 1966, the Regional District of Central Kootenay was incorporated. Indians. This name is probably derived from the Blackfoot Indian pronunciation of these Indians' name for themselves - Ktunaxa. The meaning of the word in not known - the often quoted "water people" is based on a false etymology."
